07.2         Financial Matters – The treasurer John Farmer informed members on the current financial position of the club to 31st December 2006.

The clubs income in had increased in 2006 by a factor of approx 3.5 times over 2005, (from £116.25 to £395.00); this was due an increase in subscription payments from £80.00 to £190.00. Increase attendance at meetings resulting in a rise in raffle income (£36.00 to £67.00), and club sales from zero in 2005 to £129.00 due to the sale of equipment generously donated by Kenn.

Expenditure had fallen from £325.47 to £194.94 due to the decrease in the meeting venue costs (£138.00 to £82.00), decrease in Web Site costs (from £156.39 to £46.70) by using a new web site provider arranged by Bob.

The clubs affiliation to RSGB had been re-established at a cost of £42.00 over 2005.

The above resulted in a surplus of income over expenditure of £200.06. The balance on hand in the clubs bank account on the 31st December 2006 was £475.56. With the income collected from subs for 2007the balance held at the bank was now standing at £625.00.
